FAQ

What is the Stuff Swap?

Stuff Swap is an event where people bring stuff they no longer need to share it with others. It’s free and a lot of fun.

What can I bring?

Bring clean, reusable, portable items such as clothing, housewares, games, books, and toys that you no longer need.

What should I not bring?

Please do not bring furniture, large items, tube televisions, expired or open food, unsealed personal care products, medicine, dirty or ripped clothing, fabric scraps, incomplete toys and games, non-working electronics, magazines, or sharp objects.

Do I have to bring something to take something?

Nope.

Do I have to take something if I bring something?

Nope.

What happens to the leftover stuff at the end of the Stuff Swap?

First we try to put aside anything that is on the Women’s Shelter Needs List, then donate appropriate items to animal shelters. Finally, we drop the remaining items off at The Post.

I have items that I would like to contribute but I can’t attend the Stuff Swap. Can you pick them up?

Unfortunately not at this time.

Why are you doing this?!

By organizing Stuff Swaps we want to help people save money, avoid consuming the energy, land, and water used for making new items, and build community and connections in South Eastern Alberta.
