We honour and acknowledge that we are situated on Treaty 7 and Treaty 4 territory, traditional lands of the Siksika (Blackfoot), Kainai (Blood), Piikani (Peigan), Stoney-Nakoda, and Tsuut’ina (Sarcee) as well as the Cree, Sioux, and the Saulteaux bands of the Ojibwa peoples. We also honour and acknowledge that we are on the homelands of the Métis Nation within Region III. These lands were stolen through bad-faith Treaty 7 negotiations conducted in the midst of genocides that are ongoing to this day. This is now, and will always be, Turtle Island.

We started building this page in an effort to continue learning and acting together in order to show up in solidarity with indigenous peoples. Which indigenous groups are in this area? Where are they and what are they working on? Are there events/demonstrations/actions that we can participate in as allies?
